This Chardonnay from the Gilbert Vineyard on the Wahluke Slope showcases the richness and depth of flavor of this variety when aged in oak. The juice was fermented in two lots and transferred to 45% new French oak barrels for a period of 11 months before it was bottled unfiltered. While in bottle it has shown integrated flavors of vanilla, spice, and clove, and showcases an enduring, pleasurable finish. It should be enjoyed between 40-60Ú F and is ready to drink now. Though it is very enjoyable on its own, it goes very well with cheeses, white meats, or seafood.
